In stark contrast to the advertising of today, the models below range from very thin to really quite stout. It is refreshing to see models as real women.
Note the realistic bulges on the women without corselettes (far left).
An attempt to show how comfortable these corselettes were compared to the old-fashioned Victorian corset.
Well done to the model. Disrobing in front of an audience when you are not exactly Miss Perfect is a challenge, but then to parade in front of that audience takes courage. No wonder she doesn't smile.
